Hui Shen  Guest Professor

经历与成果：

沈辉教授1982年南京理工大学工程光学专业毕业。1996年获得德国德累斯顿大学材料科学博士学位。先后在中国科学院固体物理研究所、民主德国科学院、德国Fraunhofer应用材料研究所、华南理工大学、中国科学院广州能源所从事研究工作。现为中山大学物理学院教授，博士生导师。担任中山大学太阳能系统研究所所长、电力电子与控制研究所所长、顺德中山大学太阳能研究院院长。社会主要兼职为国际太阳能学会会员、中国可再生能源学会光伏专委会副主任、光伏科学与技术国家重点实验室（天合光能）学委会主任、国家光伏装备工程技术研究中心（长沙48所）技术委员会主任、SEMI中国顾问委员会成员、国家太阳能光伏产品质量监督检验中心（无锡、顺德）科学顾问等。

研究课题主要涉及太阳能材料与纳米材料、太阳电池、光伏理论与技术应用。获得2010年度中华全国工商业联合会科技进步奖二等奖，2010年广东省科学技术奖二等奖，2011年度国家能源局软科学研究优秀成果三等奖，2014年广东省科学技术奖三等奖，2015年广州市科学技术奖三等奖等。沈辉教授在国内太阳能领域是一位声望很高的太阳能光电应用专家，对我国太阳能事业发展做出了显著的贡献。

Experience and achievements：

Prof. Shen graduatedinOptical Engineering from Nanjing University of Science and Technology in 1982. In 1996, he received his Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Dresden, Germany. He has been engaged in research work at the Institute of Solid State Physics, the Academy of Science in Democratic German, Fraunhofer Institute of Applied Materials, the South China University of Technology, and the Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion. He is currently a professor and Ph.D supervisor at the School of PhysicsinSun Yat-Sen University. He is the director of the Solar Energy Research Institute of Sun Yat-sen University and the director of the Institute of Power Electronics and Control. He is also a member of the International Solar Energy Society, the deputy director of the Photovoltaic Committee of the China Renewable Energy Society, and the director of the State Key Laboratory of Photovoltaic Science and Technology (Trina Solar).

His research topics mainly involve solar materials and nanomaterials, solar cells, photovoltaic theory and technology applications. He has achieved the second prize of Science and Technology Progress Award from All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce in 2010, the second prize of the Guangdong Science and Technology Award in 2010, the third prize of the National Energy Administration's outstanding achievements in soft science research in 2011, the third prize of the Guangdong Science and Technology Award in 2014, the third prize of Guangzhou Science and Technology Award in 2015. Professor Shen Hui is a prestigious solar photovoltaic application expert in the domestic solar energy field and has made significant contributions to the development of solar energy industry in China.
